Program Head shots Dress Code
We request that all students who wear their hair in buns for pictures wear a low bun, not a high bun. High buns tend to elongate the face and make pictures look funny.
We also request that students make sure to brush their hair, wash their face, and generally look like they are ready to have a picture taken that a lot of people may potentially see! Please no flower, butterfly, bow, or any other kind of hair clips.
Students in Ballet Levels Princess Pirouette through Level 5:
All students in Princess Pirouette, Prima Ballerina, Level 1A, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 must wear their hair in a low bun for program pictures.
Hearts During Valentines Week!
You may have noticed your student making a paper heart during the week of Valentines Day. The students were each given a heart with the name of one of their classmates on it. They were asked to write something nice about their classmate and if they were younger they were asked to draw something for their classmate. At the end of class the hearts were given to the students. Once this was done the students read their compliments to each other and at the end of class each student got to take home their compliment. The self esteem of our students is very important to all of us at DanceWorks and this was a wonderful team building moment for everyone.

Practice Music Links
Parents will be emailed a link with an mp3 of their performance music this month. Please be sure you have this and are practicing at home. Even just listening to the music helps! If you don’t have their practice music link yet, it may be because we are waiting for final edits– please check with your teacher if you have questions about the music.
All performance-related fees have been added to accounts of those participating in the May Ballet and June Showcase and are now due.
If your student is participating in the May Ballet or June Showcase and you are unsure what the performance-related fees are or how much you owe, please ask at the front desk.
