Important Ticket Update for Students Performing in Once Upon a Time and Sleeping Beauty
Extra tickets for students and families participating in the Once Upon a Time and Sleeping Beauty: parents and families of students participating in the May Ballet performance can now purchase extra tickets.
Extra tickets for parents, families, and friends of students performing in the ballet will be available for $5 each.
As we are approaching our performance season in May and June, we encourage families to see if their student finds their costume scratchy or uncomfortable before the show.
If the student is finding their costume a little uncomfortable, we do have skin-colored leotards called “nudies” available to purchase at the studio (OR at other dance stores like Competitive Edge in Vancouver) that the student can wear under their costume in order to make it less abrasive.
These are not required, but encouraged if your student is not comfortable with only wearing their costume.
Final Shoe Order
Final shoe orders will be taken Monday, May 14th.
Please check the shoe list on the bulletin board, or ask what shoes are required for your student’s performance at the front desk.
If you need shoes and missed the shoe order date, DanceWorks and Vancouver City Ballet recommend checking the following locations and websites:
2432 NE MLK Boulevard
Portland, OR 97212
The Competitive Edge
5501 NE 109th Ct. Suite G

May Students of the Month!
Congrats to our May Students of the Month…
Madeline Cushman- for being a hard worker and always prepared for class
Amara Starr- for working hard during each class and always being on time
McKenna Anderson- always trying hard in class and being focused and friendly
Thank you for setting a good example in our studio- keep up the good work!
Donating Lost and Found
All items that have been turned in to desk or Lost and Found box in the studio lobby will be donated after Memorial Day Weekend.
Please look through the Lost and Found before the 25th of May to see if anything of yours is there, or it will be donated.
Sometimes student’s glasses or shoes are turned into the front desk as well- just double check there as well in case you know of something you lost at the studio.
We hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Weekend off and is ready to go for the Ballet performances!
